Юнгле приїжджає до Лондона!

We held a hands on event with The Last Worker at BAFTA Headquarters.

The Last Worker was hosted at the famous BAFTA’s iconic London headquarters for a special preview event where press and creators were invited to not only come and play The Last Worker in a variety of VR and flat pack formats but to meet and speak to the star-studded cast that bring the characters of the game to life!

It was an early start to the day with the team from Wired productions getting the venue ready – with a range of VR hardware including Quest 2, Quest pro, and the newly released PSVR2!

There was also a range of Nintendo Switches on hand for those that preferred a more laid-back approach to their shift!

Eventually, the team was finished setting up and the developers from Wolf & Wood, and director Jörg Tittel arrived to check out the venue, and help triple-check everything to ensure the builds were ready for the public!

We used that opportunity to capture some more footage for an upcoming video series that you’ll see after launch detailing the journey of The Last Worker over the past couple of years, from the mouths of the developers themselves – meanwhile, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Voice of lead character Kurt!) spent some time talking with the team and checking out the game on PSVR 2

Eventually, the press found their way in, and after a light lunch and a couple of drinks were treated to a speech from Jörg, and Ryan from Wolf & Wood – explaining the journey to get to where we are just weeks away from launch, and thanking them for their time.

By this point, the rest of the cast had arrived in the form of Jason Isaacs and Clare-Hope Ashitey joining Ólafur Darri Ólafsson to meet everyone who attended, before spending some time recording some more documentary interview footage with Jörg (Seriously you are going to LOVE this making of!)

After the recording, press members spent some time undertaking their first shifts as employees ofJüngle – in both VR and flatscreen styles, getting a feel for becoming Kurt and the introductory hours of the story.

As people finished with their sessions playing, they went and spoke to the cast, spending some time interviewing them about the game, their roles and a whole host of other subjects

Before we knew it, it was time to wrap up! Everyone was gifted their very own Jüngle package as a thank you for attending (WHAT’S IN THE BOX?! – that’s a secret, but keep your eyes peeled to our socials, you might get a chance to have one of your own very soon!) and the folks from W&W and Wired broke everything down ready to leave the prestigious BAFTA building just as clean and spotless as when they arrived!

We hope you enjoyed this little trip into our preview event, and we can’t believe we are now less than 2 weeks away from launch!
If you are attending PAX this month you can come and join us in Boston to get your hands on the game before release and say hi – otherwise, you’ll need to wait until March 30th with the rest of us, but fear not – we have a whole day of streams, prizes, trailers and more planned to really celebrate your first day as The Last Worker in style!

Until then, be sure to follow our socials for all the small fun bits in between these blogs, and join the Discord to chat with us as we wrap up development!

And don’t forget to wishlist!
