Guide Tin Soldiers Through Creative Challenges

Tin Hearts: Puzzle Game Mechanics

At its heart, Tin Hearts is a modern take on the classic Lemmings formula, reimagined in three dimensions. Your mission is straightforward yet beautifully complex: guide a troop of adorable tin soldiers through 50+ immersive puzzles spread across the grand Victorian home of inventor Albert J. Butterworth. Unlike traditional lemmings-style games, Tin Hearts places you directly into first-person perspective, letting you explore each room freely and discover puzzle pieces hidden on shelves and worktops.

Manipulate Time to Master Puzzles

The game’s most innovative mechanic is time manipulation. Using the Cuckoo Clock or Pocketwatch, you can pause, rewind, and fast-forward time to change outcomes and prevent your soldiers from tumbling into danger. Freezing time reveals the soldiers’ future path, helping you visualize solutions before committing to them—a quality-of-life feature that makes experimentation feel less punishing than traditional puzzle games. If something goes wrong, simply rewind and try again, creating a forgiving yet engaging puzzle experience.

Interact with Whimsical Inventions

Each puzzle environment introduces unique mechanical inventions with distinct abilities. Toy cannons clear pathways, trampoline drums bounce soldiers to new heights, balloon-inflating machines open new routes, and rotating puzzle blocks create intricate solutions. Colored blocks are keyed to specific bases, while generic red blocks offer flexible placement anywhere in the room, allowing multiple solution approaches to every puzzle.

Tin Hearts is coming to Meta Quest, for the first time in standalone VR on February the 12th. You can Pre-order Act 1 HERE!
