AVICII INVECTOR ENCORE EDITION – 8 BIT SWITCH SONG TRIBUTE

Earlier this month we released Avicii Invector Encore Edition on Nintendo Switch – and had sneakily hidden a couple of bonus songs into the free demo for people to unlock by entering cheat codes (hey – remember those?!) on the main menu.
People loved the concept so much that we decided to go one step further, and include a hidden bonus song exclusive to the brand new Switch release of the game that could be accessed in the same way.
We teamed up with chiptune musical maestros 8 Bit Universe to recreate a wonderful rendition of one of Avicii’s greatest hits – ‘Wake me Up’ and locked it away behind a simple but effective cheat code.

Tim spent huge amounts of time early development, talking about his love for gaming, he shared the same wonder for the early days of gaming and enthusiasm that we all did, and it was a driving force that led to his invention of the Avicii Invector project.
Bringing Invector to Nintendo Switch, we wanted to make a fitting tribute both to an iconic artist, and that same passion and love of old school cool that he shared.
