Martha Is Dead Photography Competition

Since the launch of Martha Is Dead we’ve been overwhelmed by the creativity of our fans who have been sharing their photos and screenshots from their own trip through our Tuscan thriller.

One of the biggest elements of gameplay in Martha Is Dead is the photography and development, faithfully recreated and implemented in game by LKA using period appropriate equipment and techniques, something that has appeased enthusiasts and also captured the attention of gamers unaware of these traditional techniques since launch.

We’ve decided to celebrate both this attention to detail, and the talents of our fans with a special competition, in which you can win one of the cameras seen in game – as well as a whole host of accessories and a gorgeous leather carry bag to transport them!

One lucky Virtual Photographer will find themselves winning :

– Rolleicord IA Model 1 Camera
– Tripod No 77
– Viceroy Light Meter
– Ilford XP2 Super 400 film

To enter – all you need to do is share your photos or screenshots with us on Twitter using the hashtag #MarthaPhotoComp – we’ll put all of the entries into the competition in front of Luca and the team at LKA to pick their favourites to collect into a showcase, with one being chosen as an overall winner

Here’s a quick rundown of rules :

– The competition IS worldwide
– In game ‘developed’ photos and screenshots are equally viable
– ALL pictures MUST be your own, no sneaking other peoples entries!
– Editing on screenshots is allowed but try to keep it minimal!
– The competition ends on April 15th
– When you submit a screenshot be aware it may very well end up in a compilation of community ‘best from our fans’ post, shared across consoles, steam, socials and here
– Screens from all console releases of Martha and Pc platforms are viable.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with – and hope those of you with a passion for virtual photography are excited for a chance to experience real world traditional techniques, get yourselves back into Tuscany and get snapping!

We also wrapped up with the final episode of Martha Uncovered this week! If you missed any of our series detailing the making of Martha Is Dead from the perspective of LKA themselves, you can catch up now over on Wired Live : Martha Uncovered Series
