About the Role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised Product Marketing Manager to join our award-winning marketing team and help drive our global product strategy. On joining the Project Management team, the successful candidate will define everything to do with their products. From core product messaging, strategy and budgets, to the micro level of asset preparation and delivery. You’ll drive strong product launches across a variety of platforms with both physical and digital distribution. You’ll create strong strategies that ensure the games we choose to publish are heard, seen and of course, played.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with our leading in-house team in the development of naming, positioning, messaging, and creating the go-to-market strategies for Wired Productions titles.
  • Full management of the product lifecycle on a selection of new and existing Wired Productions titles.
  • Work alongside the internal Communications, PR, Business Development, Influencer and Creative Service teams, as well as external agencies to support effective marketing activity across multiple regions.
  • Management and accountability for the sign-off of product-oriented messaging and assets along with necessary localisation to support our international markets.
  • Close collaboration with the Business Development team to develop strong trade marketing campaigns that support both digital and physical launches.
  • Meeting deliverable dates and ensuring timely delivery for international marketing needs.

Experience

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager who will be an evangelist for video games, with unparalleled attention to detail, and a drive for delivering the best product we can.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 2+ years’ experience within the video games industry, ideally within product or brand marketing.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills including demonstrable copywriting experience.
  • Experience of working with production and development teams.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organised, quality-focused and driven to consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player, able to balance and blend various department needs and views into all aspects of marketing strategy and work with other teams to complement and support each other’s plans and objectives.
  • Experience in managing campaign budgets.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of first-party procedures.
  • Knowledge of games and the game industry markets – including player audiences, genres, preferences, and trends.
  • Understanding of trade marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with and managing IP stakeholders, a strong basic understanding of emerging platforms and technology and experience with physical products would be highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of Steam, communities and all things viral.
  • Ability to think outside of the box, and turn problems into opportunity
