Max: The Curse of Brotherhood

We’re bringing the award winning platform puzzler, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, to the PlayStation 4!

Even better, UK gamers attending EGX next week will be able to experience Max's worldwide playable debut on PlayStation 4! Make sure you head to the Rezzed zone, stand RZ16!

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is a cinematic fairy-tale adventure perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Max offers players classic jump and run gameplay, smart and innovative puzzles with a fun and unique gameplay mechanic to boot. It’s a magical game with gorgeous visuals that effortlessly combines charming old school platforming action with cunningly-designed puzzle elements.

Max first hit the scene back in 2013 as an Xbox One exclusive. It won rave reviews for its inventive and well-balanced puzzle design. There is a certain  "Pixar-esque" charm and the mix of puzzles combined with action sequences created a truly memorable world.

To bring Max to the PS4, we teamed up with Flashbulb games, a leading and innovative new development studio located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Formed in 2016 by the multi-award-winning team behind Microsoft’s now closed Press Play Studios, Flashbulb Games are best known for a host of original IP including Kalimba, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and its mobile predecessor Max and the Magic Marker. We're thrilled to be working with them on bringing Max to PlayStation players!

Adventurers must unleash the power of the Magic Marker as they:

  • Embark on this classic tale of brotherhood to rescue Max’s kid brother Felix from the grasps of the evil lord Mustacho
  • Explore a world filled to the brim with challenging physics puzzles and frantic platforming
  • Climb, fight and draw their way through deserts, lantern-lit bogs, ancient temples and lush-green-forests
  • Raise great pillars of dirt from the ground to reach new heights, grow trees to make bridges and create swinging vines to cross gaping chasms
